Landis Construction has completed its first commercial project in the Pensacola market with the build-out of the new Lennys Grill & Subs location at 96 E. Garden St. in downtown Pensacola.

The restaurant received its certificate of occupancy and passed its health inspection on July 10. A soft opening was held July 16, and the official grand opening took place July 30. Landis Construction managed the project from permitting and licensing through final walk-through, coordinating with ownership and trade partners to complete the build-out.

“Completing our first commercial project in Pensacola is a significant milestone for our team,” said Casey Capps, Pensacola lead for Landis Construction. “It represents the successful expansion of our services into a new market and demonstrates our commitment to building lasting relationships within the local business community.”

“We wanted our first project to reflect the quality, reliability and attention to detail that define Landis Construction,” Capps said. “Lennys Grill & Subs was the perfect fit because it allowed us to partner with a well-known brand while working closely with local stakeholders and trade partners to deliver a space that met both operational needs and customer expectations.”

The project comes one year after Landis Construction held its Pensacola office ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 14, 2025. The company opened its Pensacola office in late 2024 as part of its expansion into Northwest Florida.

“Reaching this milestone is an exciting moment for our team because it validates our decision to invest in the Pensacola market,” Capps said. “In just a short time, we’ve built strong relationships, assembled a talented local team and successfully delivered our first project that reflects the quality, collaboration and service Landis is known for.”

Looking ahead, Landis Construction plans to pursue a wide range of commercial projects throughout Northwest Florida, including restaurant, retail, health care, office, hospitality, historic renovation, industrial and educational developments.

“We’re especially interested in partnering with local businesses, developers and organizations that are investing in the region’s continued growth,” Capps said. “Our goal is to be more than just a contractor — we want to be a trusted long-term partner that helps shape the communities we serve.”

Founded in 1956, Landis Construction provides commercial construction services throughout the Gulf South, with experience in education, multifamily housing, historic renovation, hospitality and commercial projects. The company is a WBENC-certified women-owned business.
