The Royal Sonesta Hotel, located in the heart of the French Quarter, retained Landis to construct a new fine dining restaurant within its existing historic structure. The magnificent 6,000 square foot project was completed in Spring 2012, consisting of seven total dining rooms separated by custom-made pocket doors that incorporate the rich history and cultures of those that have contributed to Louisiana’s culinary melting pot. Additionally, each dining area is separated by custom-made pocket doors.
Patrons enter the restaurant through the Bar R’evolution, a sleekly-designed oak-paneled bar that resembles a French Quarter Carriageway. As diners proceed through the restaurant, they're treated to a different component of a typical New Orleans Creole mansion depicted in each unique room. High-end finishes include pecky cypress ceiling and bar top, custom-made imported carpeting, a wood and glass wine cellar that houses 10,000 bottles of wine, cherrywood butcher block, faux-finished crown molding, and hand-painted murals throughout. Restaurant R’evolution is a true staple for both locals and visitors alike.
