Durr Heavy Construction Headquarters

This raised, two-story building serves as the corporate headquarters for Durr Heavy Construction, consisting of 15,000 square feet of offices, conference rooms, a training/break room, an exercise room, a chapel, and a recreational/relaxation room, with the first floor used for parking. The Landis project team was tasked with driving piles for the new foundation; setting precast columns, beams and “double T” panels for the first floor; installing structural steel columns and beams/trusses for the second floor; as well as a mechanically applied TPO-membrane roof with eight rooftop air-handling units. The interior finishes included eight-foot-high, custom stained, solid-core wood doors, custom wood cabinets, and a continuous wrap-around curtain wall system that ensures almost every employee has a window. In addition, the second-floor lobby boasts a clerestory that affords the space an abundance of natural light.
