Landis completed the Gert Town Natatorium in 2018, replacing the old natatorium facility demolished in 2011 after sustaining severe damage from Hurricane Katrina. The 15,000 square foot building houses a 75 foot, six-lane, NCAA regulation competition swimming pool as well as a community plaza, locker rooms, and snack bar. The building also contains a state of the art sound system and Swim Meet Scoring System. One of the unique aspects of the Natatorium is the curved trusses with a clear span of 90 feet used to support the roof system over the length of the pool.

From post-bid construction analysis through final punchlist completion, Landis worked diligently with our firm to build an exemplary new school, one which impressed the client enough to become the RSD’s prototype design for future elementary schools. Based on working with Landis Construction over several decades, I do not hesitate to highly recommend Landis for your upcoming construction projects.
