This raised, two-story building serves as the corporate headquarters for Durr Heavy Construction, consisting of 15,000 square feet of offices, conference rooms, a training/break room, an exercise room, a chapel, and a recreational/relaxation room, with the first floor used for parking. The Landis project team was tasked with driving piles for the new foundation; setting precast columns, beams, and “double T” panels for the first floor; installing structural steel columns and beams/trusses for the second floor; as well as a mechanically applied TPO-membrane roof with eight rooftop air-handling units. The interior finishes included eight-foot-high, custom stained, solid-core wood doors, custom wood cabinets, and a continuous wrap-around curtain wall system that ensures almost every employee has a window. In addition, the second-floor lobby boasts a clerestory that affords the space an abundance of natural light.

From post-bid construction analysis through final punchlist completion, Landis worked diligently with our firm to build an exemplary new school, one which impressed the client enough to become the RSD’s prototype design for future elementary schools. Based on working with Landis Construction over several decades, I do not hesitate to highly recommend Landis for your upcoming construction projects.
