In 2008, Landis purchased the Nationally Registered, historic American Chicle Building to convert into its new corporate headquarters. Landis's experience in historical restoration and green construction combined with the building's inspiring raw material made for the perfect renovation project. Construction began the day after the acquisition of the building and soon became an extreme Design-Build project. The building held many secrets, including several issues the designers were unable to visualize or address in their initial designs. Through extensive collaboration on all levels of project management, the third floor and part of the second floor of the building were quickly transformed into the company's new home. Landis took careful consideration to maintain the exposed beams and columns, wood floors, and high ceilings that made the original structure so special while incorporating state-of-the-art green elements and technological improvements to bring the building into the 21st century.
