Since its inception more than 60 years ago, Landis Construction has been a leader in the architecture, engineering and construction industries. In 1956, Fred Landis founded Landis Construction Co, Inc. At the age of fourteen, James (Jim) Landis began learning his father’s trade as he worked digging ditches and carrying lumber. Following the death of Fred Landis in 1976, his widow Evelyn Landis preserved the family leadership of the company by becoming Chairman of the Board and in 1978, young Jim Landis took over as President and CEO.
Anne Teague Landis began learning the administrative side of the company as young as Jim began learning the building side, working in the office during summer breaks. When Anne Teague joined Landis permanently in 2008, she began working side-by-side with her father to really learn the business.
Today, Landis boasts an expansive portfolio of clients managed under the leadership of Anne Teague and the Landis family. The firm attributes its longevity and success to the sacrifice, hard work, and dedication of its employees, clients, subcontractors and other associates in New Orleans and throughout the region.
We strive to understand our clients' needs, and exceed their expectations through creative solutions. We value the safety, well-being, and development of our employees and subcontractors. We seek opportunities to support and enhance our community while taking responsibility for the world in which we live. We honor our heritage of quality, integrity, and helping our clients achieve their goals on every project.
