This 110,000 square foot building located at the corner of Gravier and Rampart was a historic renovation converting a former mixed-use building into a contemporary hotel. The project, part of the Joie de Vivre Hotels brand, marked a dramatic turn from the building’s original use as office space. It was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places, and project partners were committed to keeping its integrity intact while creating “a contemporary, fun atmosphere.” Guest rooms and suites feature touches of the city’s “mysticism, music and local culture,” with full-length windows, retro-style refrigerators, minibars with locally sourced items and two-person bar tops for in-room cocktails.
