The multi-phase Iberville on-site redevelopment transformed the 23-acre Iberville Public Housing Development built-in 1942 into a vibrant, mixed-use, mixed-income community. Landis finished the 86,290 sq ft Iberville V and 45,218 sq ft Iberville VI project in 2018, which was comprised of six structures, including two 3-story existing historic brick buildings, three 3-story building of townhouses over flats and one 4-story Multi-Family building. Landis designed all the units with energy-efficient lighting, plumbing fixtures, and appliances. All units also include in-unit washers and dryers, window blinds, and Energy Star GE appliances. Twenty units are fully accessible and designed as both mobility-impaired and hearing/visually-impaired units. Iberville Onsite Phase V & VI produced 130 affordable living units, community space, a fitness center, a leasing office and parking. The redevelopment of the Iberville site, including the reintroduction of the street grid and construction of new utilities and public rights of way throughout the site, significantly contributes to the revitalization of a large portion of the City of New Orleans: the Iberville/Tremé neighborhood.
